The famous quote of Bhisham Pitamah to Yudhistir   on significance of Pranam to God at  http://treddyji.sulekha.com/blog/post/2008/03/boycott-sanskar-tv-channel-till/comments.htm  finds echo also in :--

i.e. Fix thy mind on Me; be devoted to Me; sacrifice unto Me; bow down to Me; having thus united thy whole self with Me, taking Me as the Supreme Goal, thou shalt verily come unto Me.

 

What's more striking is that this  famous quote appears in 2 Chapters  simultaneously ( 9/34  as well as 18/65 )......     Chapter IX of GITAJI has 35 verses   and commentary on Chapter IX of GITAJI  ) plus 10 famous quotes from Chapter IX of GITAJI (80-89)  and  Chapter XVIII of GITAJI has 80 verses   and commentary on Chapter XVIII of GITAJI  plus  14 famous quotes from Chapter XVIII of GITAJI (120-133) .

 

I  fully  agree  that  Elders'  Grace  works wonders  for   us . The other day I was listening to Murari Bapu's Ramayana katha at AASTHA  channel . He narrated :---

 
" This is the real story of a boy of Mumbai in  1927 . Many astrologers had predicted age not more than 9-10 years for him making his parents too worried. And lo , one day a Saint  comes and asks boy to touch feet of  anyone , he comes across.
 
As boy bows , elders bless : " betaa , jeete raho ......" 
 
" yug-yug jio "
 
" bhagwan tumhe sukhi rakhen "  & so on i.e.  all  pious feelings from their heart . In  Punjab , " pairi paina " to elders is very famous.
 
And lo , that boy is still alive & healthy  as  himself   Grandfather  of many  kids  in 2008 !!!! Indian parents should not copy  insulting culture of West and smoke & dine with their kids but rather give them good Samskars and inculcate the habit of respecting their Elders ....................."
 
  Goswami Tulsidassji  says in verse 205  of  Baalkand  in  Ramayana   :--
 
 
PRATAHKAAL   UTHI KAI RAHUNATHA, matu pita guru navanhi matha
 
aayasu magi karahin Pur kaja , DEKHI CHARIT HARSHAI MUN RAJA 
 
 The above chaupai of   Ramayana means that Lord Ramji was  Maryada-Purushottam who used
 
* to bow at holy feet of  His parents King Dashrathji -Maa Kaushalya  and Guru Vasisthaji

i.e. our behaviour should be ideal  and in manner that others don't get offended  , rather should be happy with our behaviour. To gain  divinity , knowledge , wisdom & devotion thus  as grateful and  true  citizens ,  let us most humbly bow  at holy feet  of :--
 
 
-- Guru of  all of us i.e.   Lord Shiva     ,  His  Divine Consort Maa  Parvatji , Lord Ganesha  ,  
Kartikeyaji , Nandi , mountain Kailash
 
-- Brahma-Vishnu -Mahesh is  ADI-parikar i.e.  Trimurti referred in all holy scriptures since times immemorial. 3  divine scriptures    GITAJI , Ramayana and Bhagwatam   is also   ADI-parikar   in book-form to indicate a God-realised person  and  Lord Sri Krishna is very happy whenever.......  In Lord Vishnu 's Vaikuntha ( total 27 links for Sri Vishnu Sahastranam )  ,  humble bowing to  Goddess Laxmi ( shopping-guide for Diwali  ) , Sheshnaag  (  Lord Balramji )  , security guards Jai-Vijay;  sage Naradji , Sanak-Sananandan etc and so on ..  pearl no. 3 from Srimad Bhagwatam
 
This  ADI-PARIKAR  is evident when Lord Krishna shows  His Vishroop-Darshan ( cosmic form ) to Arjuna in Chapter XI of GITAJI  .  Arjuna sees
 

world - famous Gayatri Mantra is in glory or praise of Lord Sun only

 
 
Thus let us most humbly bow  at holy feet of all of them .
--  Lord Rama      , Bharat-Shatrughan-Laxmanji - Lord Hanumaan   --   sage Yagvalkyaji   and  Goswami Tulsidassji  .....after listening to Sunderkand at CHITRAKOOT
 
 
In Vrindavan, He has taken form of Sri Bihariji or Sri Radhavallabh or Sri Radharamanji .3 in 1 are Sri Radha Ramanji's darshan   and  exactly as I saw .  In Pushti Sampraday , He' s loved as Sri Nathji ... ancient Acharya VallabhachryajiWho can speak the HIGHEST glory of Sri Radhaji ? SHE is the Paramacharya or Rasguru of all Rasik Bhaktas ....As clock strikes 9 am on Monday , 17th March , 2008....
 
 
And  Lord Sri Radha-Krishna's eternal abode  Sri Vrindavan Dham is  most adorable and  includes divinities like including Sri Yamunaji, Sri Girirajji , Barsana, Nandgaon , Gokul, Mahavan, Kaamvan etc i.e. the whole BRAJ of 84 kos . Let us also  humble prostrate  to divine places  like  Chitrakoot , Ayodhaya, Saryuji , Nandigram etc.- Holy Kailash, Ganges, Rishikesh ,Kedarnath , 12 Jyotirlings , Narmadaji ,etc. --and most famous 4 Dhams ( Dwarka, Badrinath, Sri Jagannath Puri & Rameswaram )
 or  King  of  all  pilgrims ( Teerathraj Prayag at  ALLAHABAD) .
 
--Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu  , Nimai-Haridassji , Srivasji,  Adwaitacharyaji Maharaj  ( whose  disciple  was  Vijaykrishanji Goswami and then  Maa Mani  .  devotee of Jagannath Puri    and Bandhu Jagadmitra)  -- Saint Gyaneshwarji ;  Namdevji Maharaj ; Samarth Ramdasji Maharaj ; Saint Meera Bai ; Acharya Vallabhachryaji   
etc.

That is , let us most humbly to God and  His all incarnations .... ...January 2007 special edition is just wonderful   ; all Mahatmas & Saints , our Gurus -Acharyas and teachers , parents and  all elders ( GYANVRIDH-BALVRIDH-AYURVRIDH   ) i.e. some may be younger to us in age but may be sublime  in wisdom & intellect . For example , Maa  Kunti , though Bua of Lord Krishna , always prostrated at His holy feet . When her grandson Parikshit was in danger , she alongwith daughter-in-law Uttara  did not call her all powerful sons  Arjuna or Bhima but Lord Krishna only as she knew only He can save Parikshit from Brahmastra  . Similarly , Draupadi  called Lord Krishna only  in crisis  and not her  powerful hubbies. Gajendra also bowed to  Him only when in extreme danger . This all proves that  humble bowing to God , His vibhutis alone can longer our healthy life , wisdom & intellect.
